For
each additional $ .50 per hour increase over $19.00 per
hour, monthly dues shall be increased by $2.00.
The
above schedule for dues applies to dues paid on or before
the last business day of the current month.
Any dues paid after the last business day of the
current month shall be increased by $1.00 for that month
unless excused by the Executive Board under a policy
uniformly and fairly applied on a nondiscriminatory basis.
All
members must pay their dues on or before the last business
day of the current month.
Any member failing to pay his/her dues at such time
shall not be in good standing for such month, but may
restore such good standing for such month for the purpose of
attending meetings, nominating, voting and participating in
the affairs of the Local Union by the payment of his
delinquent dues prior to said meeting.
Payment of such dues after their due date shall not
restore good standing status for such month or months in
computing the continuous good standing required as a
condition of eligibility for office.
Any member who shall be three (3) months in arrears
in the payment of dues, fines, assessments, or other
charges, shall automatically stand suspended at the end of
the third (3rd) month, and shall not be entitled to any
rights or privileges of membership.

Effective July 1, 2002, the above rates (marked
with the asterisk - $11.01 per hour and higher)
have been increased by an additional one-half (1/2) hour pay
each month for employees in the private sector and by
one-quarter (1/4) hour pay each month for employees in the
public sector, rounded to the nearest dollar.
An
addendum to the By-Laws has been prepared to reflect these
modifications for ease of calculation.
EXAMPLE:
If your hourly rate is $12.50, one-half (1/2) an hour would
be $6.25. Therefore the dues rate would be increased by
$6.00. However if your hourly rate were $13.00,
one-half (1/2) an hour would be $6.50 and the dues rate
would be increased by $7.00.
This
increase is a result of the approval of the International
Blue Ribbon Committee recommendation at the Special
Convention in 2002. |
