ARTICLE XXX. 

Shop Committees 

Section 1.

 

Grievance Committee

Each Shop Unit shall be represented by a grievance committee, not to exceed one (1) for every twenty-five (25) members or major fraction thereof, but not less than one in any one Shop Unit nor more than fifteen.  In Shop Units having less than twenty-five (25) members, the Shop Steward shall serve as Committeeperson.  In Shop Units having a Shop Unit Chairperson and Secretary they shall be ex-officio members of the Grievance Committee.

Grievance Committees shall meet with Company representatives for purposes of and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement in effect in their particular Shop Unit.

Grievance committees shall be elected by secret ballot when required.

 

 

Section 2.

Negotiation Committee

Negotiating Committees shall be elected in each Shop Unit when required for the renewal of collective bargaining agreements.  They shall be elected in the same manner as herein above set out.  Upon completion of negotiations, the negotiating Committee will be automatically disbanded.

 

 

Section 3. Eligibility

Only those in good standing for the current month in which the nominations are held shall be eligible to serve on the Grievance and Negotiating Committees.
